Airless Conference: More New Speakers on September 10 in Paris!
In just a few days, I look forward to seeing you at the Fondation Cartier for Contemporary Art in Paris for the first symposium dedicated to this extraordinary innovation in packaging: airless!
The roundtable discussions and conferences are getting better and better every day!
Florence Bernardin of Asia Cosme.Lab will discuss the topic of airless packaging in North Asia—where packaging enhances and protects the performance of formulations... Because in North Asia, female consumers expect increasingly sophisticated packaging capable of preserving the effectiveness of concentrated, oxidation-sensitive formulas. Skincare, makeup, haircare, fragrances…: airless packaging is a true ally of performance, while also meeting new requirements for refillability.
Jean-Louis Mathiez of CINQPATS, Luisa Oliva of LO, and Ericka Nunes of MS BEAUTILAB will participate in the roundtable discussion “Airless and Formulation: Technical Considerations in Selecting and Specifying an Airless Package from a Formulator’s Perspective.” They will discuss the uses of airless packaging, the criteria formulators must follow, how to leverage the characteristics of these specific packaging systems, relevant testing protocols, and more.
Michele Superchi of BEAUTYSTREAMS will participate in the panel discussion “Brands’ Perspectives on the Use of Airless Packaging”. This panel discussion will focus on the motivations and potential barriers brands face when choosing airless packaging, the influence of stringent regulatory requirements, and the future prospects for this category.
And here are the eleven questions you can ask the fifteen speakers from the world’s leading manufacturers, who will answer them live!
– But how can we design systems that meet recyclability requirements?
– How can we design systems that avoid being classified as overpackaging or misleading packaging (double walls, empty spaces, etc.)?
– Which systems would minimize the impact of refills while ensuring the formula remains protected by maintaining the “airless” criterion?
– How can we prevent the refill itself from becoming a standalone functional packaging solution?
– How can we optimize the balance between the product’s appeal and its production cost?
– Which types of formulations are best suited to take full advantage of the specific capabilities of airless systems?
– In what cases is the use of an airless system essential?
– Trends in formulation development (clean products, organic products, reducing the number of ingredients, etc.): Do they favor the use of airless systems, or do they move away from them?
– How should one formulate for an airless system, and what characteristics does the formulator expect and leverage when formulating for airless packaging?
– What about innovation in airless systems in the era of mandatory reuse and recyclability?
– How do new airless solutions continue to offer the advanced features expected of this category while significantly improving their environmental performance?
