CCL Industries Acquires Sleever International

The acquisition of Sleever International has just been announced by the CCL Industries group. According to the press release, the deal combines the two companies’ respective sleeve product lines to form a platform with a total value of $700 million, as well as complementary labeling and decoration technologies.

The terms of the transaction, which is expected to close in mid-2026, have not been disclosed.

Based near Paris, Sleever generated revenue of $213 million in 2025, with an estimated adjusted EBITDA margin of 11.1%. The company operates 11 production sites in France, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Ireland, Canada, Brazil, and China.

According to the press release, Sleever brings “complementary capabilities in sleeve materials” to CCL’s existing portfolio. Together, the two companies’ sleeve product lines generate combined revenue of approximately $700 million, not including sleeve application systems and decoration services. This merger “will further strengthen the development of next-generation sustainable solutions for both multinational and regional customers and open up growth opportunities,” states CCL.

The acquisition will also result in a more extensive global manufacturing network, as well as an accelerated innovation network through the sharing of R&D and engineering capabilities.
CCL Industries, which operates in specialty labels, security, and packaging solutions, will retain Sleever International’s 910 employees. Sleever International’s president and principal shareholder, Eric Fresnel, will remain in an advisory role to support the transition.

“This acquisition combines our respective sleeve product lines and brings together two innovation-focused organizations with complementary strengths in high-end labeling and decoration technologies. Heat-shrink sleeves—one of the fastest-growing decoration technologies—play a vital role in helping brands enhance their shelf impact, strengthen consumer engagement, and meet their ever-evolving sustainability commitments,” said Guenther Birkner, CCL’s President for the Food & Beverage, Health & Specialties, and Innovia.
