Capardoni, seven acquisitions in fifteen years!
The year 2025 marks another turning point for the Italian family-owned Capardoni Group and its teams. No fewer than seven successful acquisitions have punctuated the last fifteen years since the Meazza family took over the company in 2003. The latest merger between Capardoni and Capsol, which took place a few months ago, is a turning point for both entities. In one fell swoop, their respective turnovers jumped to a total of more than €50 million at the end of 2024.
November 2024 thus marks the merger of Capsol and Capardoni, which have joined forces by combining their experience and expertise in the production of packaging for the beauty, perfumery, pharmaceutical, and agri-food sectors.
Founded in 1961 as a manufacturer of caps for aerosols, Capsol initially specialized in the manufacture of aerosol caps and quickly expanded both in Italy and internationally. Under the leadership of its managers, from the Rombelli family through their subsidiary Torrent SpA and the Rovelli family through UNA Srl, Capsol has grown particularly strongly in recent years, characterized by a wide diversification of product ranges and the launch of numerous patented innovations. Capsol is present in the cosmetics, cleaning products, pharmaceutical, medical, and food sectors. Today, Capsol offers a range of more than 700 items in terms of closure types and containers.
Diversified and independent
What has immediately characterized the Capardoni Group since its takeover by the Meazza family in 2003 is not only its desire to diversify its activities as a plastic packaging manufacturer, but also to be as independent as possible in industrial terms. The successive acquisitions of Packplast, Cosmar, B&B, Guiros, Novapack, Packtrade and, most recently, Capsol are proof of this. Today, the Group is able to supply the cosmetics, perfumery, cleaning products, pharmaceutical, and food industries. This autonomy extends to the manufacture of its own molds and energy sources.
New products
Among the Group’s new products is an innovative single-material dropper with a diamond-shaped teat.
Its unique shape not only enhances its appearance but also provides a comfortable and precise grip for effortless dosing.
All components are made of PP, which facilitates recycling, reduces waste, and promotes sustainable development.
Its precise dosing mechanism makes it an exceptional choice for those looking for aesthetics and performance. The company says that different nipple shapes can be developed using customized molds.
Also worth noting is the FlipTop cap with a “360° safety” valve. This patented cap offers a host of advantages. Once screwed on, it cannot be unscrewed.
Tamper-proofing is guaranteed, as is product integrity. A patented cap that is both economical and environmentally friendly.
The flip-top lid with its tamper-proof seal completely protects the product’s contents. Thanks to its anti-unscrewing system, there is no need for shrink sleeves, which are usually used to ensure product tamper-proofing.
