TriMas Dispensing: the benefits of being global
The US-based company had a good year in 2024, with revenue growth of around 20% compared to the previous year.
Several major investments were made, including the construction of a new factory in China and capacity increases at various production sites to meet customer demand.
As for 2025, it has gotten off to a fairly encouraging start, despite external economic uncertainties. We take stock with Hervé Bichon, Vice President, Sales Beauty & Dispensing Systems Division.
“It is clear, however, that the increase in customs duties is a cause for concern,” explains Hervé Bichon, "and that this is leading us to re-evaluate our industrial strategy. Although most of our products are manufactured as close as possible to our customers’ production sites, a number are shipped from production regions that are affected by these new customs duties. This obviously requires us to adapt to this new economic situation by relying on our network of production sites in Europe (UK, Italy, Slovakia, and the Netherlands), Asia (Vietnam, India, and China), and America (USA and Mexico)."
Europe: Two major areas of focus
In Europe, TriMas Dispensing was already present in the personal care sector but is now focusing its development in the beauty sector on two major areas. As announced in 2024, the group is launching a production line for low-profile perfume pumps at its Aarts Packaging site in the Netherlands. The all-plastic pumps are also receiving good feedback.
“I would also like to point out,” adds Hervé Bichon, “that we also produce perfume caps, compact cases and lip glosses at the same Aarts Packaging site, not to mention PP and PET jars at our site in Levice, Slovakia.”
Environment: Concrete developments
“All the products we develop,” insists Hervé Bichon, “naturally meet our customers’ environmental requirements.”
For example, large-dose lotion pumps (2cc, 4cc) for shampoos and conditioners and foam pumps with plastic springs that meet the new recyclability requirements are already in production at the Group’s sites in Europe, China, India and soon in Vietnam.
“Our large-volume airless systems (AVDS- 300ml / 1000ml) are also evolving towards all-plastic versions,” explains Hervé Bichon. “And we are working on new ranges of all-plastic pumps for the beauty market, particularly for skincare and makeup with small doses, but also for haircare and suncare with spray pumps.”
